Dear LTER PIs:



The LTER Diversity Committee is welcoming new members for its next,
expanded phase of activity. Your help in identifying people interested in
joining the committee would be most appreciated. Please pass names and
contact information along to Clarisse Hart and Alan Berkowitz, copied here.



The LTER Executive Board approved a motion in May 2016 to establish a
standing Diversity Committee of the Network to galvanize the commitment of
the Network to enhancing diversity, provide a channel for communication
concerning diversity within the Network, and curate and distribute
information on diversity and diversification relevant to the LTER Network.
The committee will provide sites with specific examples and suggestions to
facilitate diversity across the network, e.g., best practices for REU
recruitment and programming, and help track activity of increasing
diversity across the network.
