Subject: [LTER-site-exec] How are decisions made at your LTER site?
To: "site-exec at lternet.edu" <site-exec at lternet.edu>
Dear LTER Site PIs:
The Hubbard Brook LTER group will be having a discussion about how
decisions are made at our site and I will be leading a discussion of how
this is done at other sites.
So I am hoping you all can share informal quick thoughts about the
following issues:
- How is the site PI chosen?
- Is there some type of “executive committee”
- What do you do to engage a larger group of people in
administrative and research decisions
- What are your great successes?
- What are your challenges?
Again, I am hoping for quick and informal responses.
I am also thinking that this would be a good topic for discussion at the
site PI meeting next May.
Thanks!
Peter
