[LTER-im] Upcoming meeting reminders for IMC

Dear IMC,

I'm writing to remind you of two upcoming meetings you will be interested in.

The first is the ESIP summer meeting<https://esipfed.org/sm2021> that runs from July 19th to 23rd. For one IM per LTER site, the LTER Network will cover the full registration fee for the meeting up to the "early bird" rate $200. So, to attend the meeting for free you must register before June 30th (next Wednesday). When registering, please select 'partner rate' for the registration type and select 'US LTER' from the list of partner organizations. When you reach the payment stage toward the end of the registration process, enter the discount code 'LTERSM21', which will indicate to ESIP that the registration fee is to be paid by the LNO. The registration fee should be $200, but the cost to you will be $0 if you enter the discount code correctly.

The other meeting to mark your calendar for is the 2021 IMC Annual Meeting, which will be held virtually on Monday, September 13, 2021. We're planning about 5 hours of activities (including breaks) for this meeting so please be ready to participate from 9am PT/Noon ET until 2pm PT/5pmET. As part of this meeting we are planning a workshop on harmonizing LTER meteorology datasets as the ClimDB/HydroDB services are sunsetted. If you haven't yet, please review Susanne Grossman-Clarke's email of April 26 and check your site's ClimDB data that is now staged at EDI. IMExec will be sending more information to prepare IMs for this workshop, and other meeting activities, as the summer progresses.
