Dear LTER Diversity and Inclusion Committee,
Based on survey responses, the best regular meeting time for the committee
is *Tuesdays at Noon Pacific time /1 pm MT / 2 pm CT /3 pm ET*. I'm
choosing the *third Tuesday* of the month to avoid other Network conflicts.

*Our next meeting will be April 21, 2020, **at Noon Pacific time /1 pm MT /
2 pm CT /3 pm ET*.
You'll receive an invitation shortly. To avoid the potential
for Zoom-bombing, I'm no longer adding Zoom links to the calendar
invitation, but you can always find the link on the *Diversity and
Inclusion Trello Board*
<https://trello.com/b/eywetYEs/lter-diversity-inclusion-committee>, under
Resources.

Thanks to the folks who added their introductions and ideas to the *meeting
notes*
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_D1FnCzTofZ6q4r4LxFbrkNbrSQNHERG9o9ZGDsQZ3o/edit>
(now
highlighted in blue). Still-missing intros are highlighted in yellow.
Please just drop in a few words if you get a chance, to let us know you can
access the document. We'll keep running notes in this document for the rest
of the year and the introductions will be a useful point of reference.

I'm also moving ideas from the notes document and the ideas document
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TYEYdMBLgbA0KT8fRVcKbRZph5neCrKnL6y6HFeXevE/edit>
onto the Trello board
<https://trello.com/b/eywetYEs/lter-diversity-inclusion-committee> for
discussion at our next meeting on April 21.
Nominations (self or other) for leadership roles on this committee (Chair /
co-chair / Executive Board representative) remain open until April 15. The
time is ripe for making major progress in this area. There is strong
interest and support from NSF and from Network leadership. This is a great
opportunity to make positive change in a network that has been so valuable
for so many. If you are interested in any of the above leadership roles,
please drop me a short note or give me a call.

Thanks, Marty
