Dear LTER Colleagues,

I write to bring to your attention a workshop planned and organized by
interdisciplinary grad students at University of North Carolina. I
visited there this past spring and was thoroughly impressed with what
they are doing. The workshop, #6, is scheduled for Saturday morning
before ESA and is entitled "Educating the Interdisciplinary Ecologist:
Creating Educational Ecosystems to Help PhD Students Succeed, Get Hired,
and Push Boundaries." Here is the workshop description
<http://eco.confex.com/eco/2015/webprogram/Session10676.html>.

Please pass along this information to your grad students and consider
attending yourself. Regular registration for ESA ends Thursday, and the
organizers are hoping to get more registrants by then. A planned output
for this work is a peer-reviewed paper for/Frontiers/. If people have
already signed up for the conference but want to additionally register
for the workshop this week, they can submit a form (available here
<http://esa.org/baltimore/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/2015-ESA-Annual-Mtg-Supp-Reg-Form-04-06-15.pdf>)
by mail, FAX, or emailing a scanned copy.

Cheers, Nancy
