I'm headed down to Puetro Rico with my new colleagues in a few weeks to run some workshops on drought on the island. The project is part of a larger USGS program on Ecological Drought<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__nccwsc.usgs.gov_science_ecological-2Ddrought&d=DwMFaQ&c=lhMMI368wojMYNABHh1gQQ&r=6WVbhxrVvPqee7rcQ0L_0w&m=FBjRq9VrsYW80WXe4YJZwapZRfMinmERPgKNRvwbkE8&s=EQ1KKX4_smLfFKKiQrSwC5elNYKYjpPHeQvageFJJqw&e=> aimed at identifying and communicating drought impacts across the US. We also got some funding to create a series of short documentaries on drought in PR featuring scientists and other stakeholders. I'm wondering if you know any folks knowledge of, or affected by, drought that we should contact. We'll be there May 29-June 2.

In other news, I'm buying a house! It's a little, 103-year old house in Cambridge that, according to the inspectors yesterday, is in surprisingly good shape. Mariana said she'll move up to Maryland as soon as I have the keys.
