Hi,
The below message from the LTER Network is basically saying that graduate students that already have LTER accounts (look in http://search.lternet.edu/dir.php) are requesting new accounts. 

You are receiving this message because you have an account in this database. 

When I enter your name, email address and role in the system, you received a message from the system that gave you access to it and sent you a message with your user name and password. You can use this to update your contact and research-related information.
If you need access but cannot get it, please let me know.

Hi Folks -

I'm getting a lot of requests (3-4 per day) from graduate students for
login credentials that already have accounts. Most of them have never
logged in however so I have to track down their initial welcome letter
and log them in and then enter their email in the password change
request.

Please impress upon your new entries to follow through with the login
as requested in the welcome letter.
