[LTER-luq] Impact of TS Erika

Hi Jill et al.,

There was more damage/green branches on the ground and fallen trees than what I was expecting from 50 mph winds, so you may be right.
We were able to cross the streams safely, but the USGS site had showed flooding in all the LEF rivers on Erika, but only the Rio Blanco on Danny.

Dear Jess,

Thanks for update. How much damage to the forest? Like Georges or much less?

Thought maybe after the drought there might be a bigger damage effect relative to the strength of the wind.

Thinking of you all. Hope things not too bad and electricity restored soon.

Best wishes, Jill
