[LTER-luq] AGU poster on drought

The litter mat cover in the control plots for the CTE is low now, but it was low in June of last year also when it was dry.

The moisture and the basidiomycete leaf mat cover usually goes up to 30-40% of the area under closed canopy in fall.
We have pre-treatment measurements with mean around 36% for mid-October of 2014. It would take remeasuring this October, and assuming conditions stay dry, but drought is predicted to intensify in late summer and Fall, so a pretty good bet.

I think we should submit an abstract for the AGU meeting on the effects of the ongoing drought on the forest.  Who would like to participate?  I can start a draft tomorrow.  Abstracts are due Wednesday at midnight.
