[LTER-luq-pi] status of LTER award?

Hi Saran,

I think we can all share the frustration of the situation. It would have
been nice, of course, if the panel activity could have been done while we
were chasing down errant graduate students. Oh well. If patience is a
virtue, we shall all become saints.

Anticipating something like this, I made arrangements to have all our
employees paid through the beginning of the year (until April 15 to be
exact) while this is sorted out. We can take advantage of the 90 day
pre-award spending once the award is received (which seems like mid
February at the latest, I would guess). Meanwhile, we have our NCE in place
and enough carry-over to maintain our activities.

I am working on the annual report due before the end of the year. So, that
will not be an issue (I hope).

jess
