Hi all, a final reminder of our July VWC happening later today. Also, if
you still haven't filled out the IM Tools Spreadsheet
<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1T9GD4cZlXEO4cJ0yZqS5Ni567O8GmtPgXKKtOowZQaI/edit?usp=sharing>,
please do so before the meeting. See you soon!

---------- Forwarded message ---------
Greetings IMC,
Our next monthly Virtual Water Cooler (VWC) is just around the corner,
on *Monday,
July 12th @ 12p PT / 3p ET*. This month's VWC will focus on the IM Tools
Spreadsheet
<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1T9GD4cZlXEO4cJ0yZqS5Ni567O8GmtPgXKKtOowZQaI/edit?usp=sharing>,
developed as part of the IM Knowledge Exchange (IMKE) effort. Refer to the
message I sent on June 28th for further details about this spreadsheet. As
a reminder, IMKE aims to facilitate ways to better learn what other IMs are
doing across the LTER Network. While IMKE was originally conceived to help
newer IMs, it also exists for more experienced IMs looking to change up
their routine.
Many thanks to all of you who have already filled out the various tech
tools you use at your site. If you haven't filled it out yet, here's your
friendly *reminder to please fill out each tab before our upcoming VWC*.
This VWC will consist of breakout sessions dedicated to each category of
tools. Participants will have the option to choose the room they'd like to
participate in and will be able to move between rooms if desired.
*Breakout rooms:*
1. Metadata & EML (a direct followup to our June VWC)
2. Personnel & Mailing Lists
3. Bibliography
4. Website
Each group should assign a notetaker since we all can't be in or record all
rooms at once. We will allow some time after breakout sessions for each
group to report highlights to the larger group, as well as to discuss ideas
for how to display this information in a more digestible way. As I
mentioned before, this spreadsheet is still very much a work in progress. The
overall goal is to have a shared knowledge base of tech tools used across
the LTER Network, with annual requests for updates.
*Agenda:*
- News and announcements (*All, bring your good news!*) ~5 min
- Breakout Guidance & Sorting ~5 min
- Breakout Sessions ~30-35 min
- Report out & discussion ~15-20 min
*July VWC Connection Info:*
