message through other channels.

Given that many meetings are going virtual this year, some organizations
are exploring a Virtual Data Help Desk, rather than physical. ESIP and AGU
are helping to organize one for the upcoming European Geosciences Union (
https://www.egu2020.eu/). Please consider signing up to volunteer as a data
expert! the details are in Megan Carter's email, attached.

AGU, ESIP, and EarthCube, will connect researchers with informatics experts
familiar with their scientific domain to share skills and techniques that
will help further research and make data and software open and FAIR.

*YOU* can volunteer to be a Data Expert who contributes in one or both of
the following ways:

   1. *Answer data questions virtually* (monitor twitter #DataHelpDesk and
   answer where you can during the week of May 4th)
   2. *Share a short recorded demo* of a tool or resource (short = ideally
   less than 5 minutes)
