[LTER-im] annual meeting of the LTER IMC: 2020

LTER Information Managers and Friends,

We would like to thank all of the LTER IMs who weighed in as to their
preference regarding the location of the 2020 LTER IMC meeting. The
majority opted for ESA so we will hold the IMC meeting in Salt Lake City,
UT in association with ESA. We have already started coordinating logistics
with ESA, and look forward to working with IMs to develop a robust and
engaging agenda for the meeting.

In the meantime, as noted recently on Slack and email, please be aware of
the November 21 deadline to propose a session. IM Exec is not coordinating
a session but is happy to assist with any efforts that the IMC is planning
or interested to propose. IM Exec will, however, plan to provide guidance
and help coordinate abstract submissions (open January 2020) so please be
thinking about developing a talk or poster. Details regarding logistics are
forthcoming but please, please keep in mind that lodging will not be
covered by the LNO or EDI so we encourage you to coordinate with your site
regarding that particular expense.

We look forward to seeing you this coming Monday, November 18th at 12:00
PDT/15:00 EDT for the November Water Cooler.
