Just a reminder that the deadline for the spring Databits is approaching
3/15/2019).

We still need EVERYONE to give us a "Site Byte"  - a brief summary of
recent highlights, challenges and future directions. They don't need to
be long or detailed - just the highlights that you'd like to share with
fellow ecological information managers.  We've set up a Google Form for
submitting yours at:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdJrH7fAbjhBjSieevsdgqbRbyrxbM0844-hGzSJ3PFATE7qw/viewform?usp=sf_link

If you haven't written a Site Byte before, plunge into the Databits past
and look at the "Site Flashes" at the start of the Fall 1992 Databits
(https://lternet.edu/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Fall_1992.pdf). Enjoy
the looking at the technology with "new" high-speed 9600 baud modems,
i486 CPUs, Sun and VAX workstations and INGRES databases (all a blast
from the past).

Feature articles, book or paper reviews, etc. can be submitted as Google
Docs, Word or LaTeX documents by emailing them (or a link to them) to:
jporter at virginia.edu

Thanks!
