EDI 2019 Summer Fellowship Program

Dear Colleagues,

The Environmental Data Initiative (EDI) announces its 2019 Summer Data Management Fellowship Program. We are now accepting applications from projects/sites interested in hosting a fellow.

In agreement with EDI’s mission of accelerating curation and archive of environmental data, the focus of the fellowships is on data archiving and publishing as well as on developing a longer-term data management strategy for the host sites/projects.

The 2-month fellowship is intended for undergraduate, graduate and recent postgraduate students. Each fellow will receive a stipend of $5000 which will be administered through the University of Wisconsin-Madison. EDI will train and mentor the fellows, while the hosts are expected to provide access to data sets and personnel able to answer content-related questions in a timely manner.

  *   Application to host a fellow deadline: 12 December 2018
  *   Notification of successful application: 9 January 2019
  *   Fellow recruitment: Spring 2019
