Dear LTER PIs, Information Managers, and Education and Outreach Managers:
A small working group composed of representatives from the information
management, communication, education, and PI communities has proposed the
attached revision to the LTER Network Guidelines for Website Design and
Content (last updated in 2009). We seek your input on the attached
document.
*This guidance applies to the websites of individual LTER sites.*
The committee attempted to strike a balance between the flexibility that
allows individual sites to accommodate different technical and
organizational situations and the need for the Network to exhibit some
degree of coordination.
We plan to seek approval from the Executive Board at the May Meeting and
need your *comments by May 1* in order to incorporate your feedback.
Thank you,
Marty Downs and Mary Martin, co-chairs,
on behalf of the
Web Guidelines Working Group
