The below message was evaluated as "inappropriate" by the administrator of the lter-all list. My intention was to send it to the IM community only and not the entire LTER community.

I keep reading it to see if I am being inappropriate here but I cannot see how. Maybe is old fearless me so I want to apologize in advance if this bothers anybody in any way.
My only intention is that we can all have an opportunity to participate in the important process we are living now!
EDAPD I hope this one get to you. The original message is below:

Hi, Again, I congratulate you and Paul. Thankyou for accepting this challenge.
My interest for now is to learn in which stages of the proposal writing youwill be sharing it with our community.
I would like to see that we all get a fair chance to submit our feedback / suggestions/recommendations with sufficient time to go through an evaluation process to beaccepted/rejected and incorporated/discarded.
I have the feelingthat whatever is proposed by the LTER community and accepted by NSF for thisCenter is going to change our jobs and our sites in a very drastic way.
This is why, it is essential that you continue disseminating these news in atimely manner, as you have been doing so far, and similarly, that our communitymembers give you feedback, especially the information managers.
We should all assist you and your team in developing a proposal that notonly move this community forward but takes into account our vision and culture.
Again, thanks.

Based on this timeline you can expect many opportunities for input, discussions, and contribution and proposal reading requests. We do realize that this timeline doesn’t leave any overlap for transitioning technologies and functionality from the current LNO to the new NIMO and we will need a lot of help from all IMs to make this transition possible. Of course the NCO will be involved in this transition as well as there are e-mail lists, websites and content moving into their purview. Right now we are looking for a few IMs to self-identify an interest in reading drafts of the proposal and staying closely engaged in the writing process by providing feedback quickly and frequently. The EB has identified a few members to also read the proposal drafts, so we would mirror their approach in the IM community. Furthermore we (IMexec in this case) are looking for a few IMs to self-identify an interest in being more actively involved in the transition process. Although, we will need input from everyone at some points, there will be the need for a few to be more active in evaluating all our current NIS products and suggesting options for how to move them forward.   Thanks everyone IMexec, Corinna and Paul
