Congratulations, Caitlin!!

And all:
I’m writing to ask for your help in spreading the word about the Forest’s open position for a Schoolyard Ecology Program Coordinator (part-time, hybrid). As you all know, Pamela Snow’s retirement left enormous shoes to fill, but I feel confident that the right candidates are out there!

Here’s the info about the job, including a Q&A and a link to a Feb. 22 informational webinar about the position. https://harvardforest.fas.harvard.edu/schoolyard-ecology-program-coordinator-search-2022

I’ll be co-hosting the Feb. 22 webinar with Audrey Barker Plotkin, who next week will begin advertising a Higher Education & Lab Coordinator position (full-time -- formerly Manisha Patel’s role, for those who know her). Priority applications for both of these education positions are due by Feb. 27. During the webinar on the 22nd, Audrey and I will discuss and welcome questions for the Schoolyard position from 4:00-4:30pm and the Higher Ed/Lab position from 4:30-5:00pm.

With advance thanks to all for your help getting the word out to peeps in southern New England –

Clarisse

The land Harvard Forest occupies is the unceded home territory of the Nipmuc Nation. I honor the millennia of stewardship that shaped the ecosystems surrounding us today, and the ongoing, vital role of Indigenous community members in shaping the ecosystems of tomorrow. I am personally committed to continuing to build a relationship with the Nipmuc community that ensures that this land and its life-giving benefits are mutually accessible, affirming, and sustaining.

Hi all!

There wasn't time for site updates in today's EOC meeting so here's my site update via email: I'm changing jobs and will start as Cedar Creek's Associate Director on Monday! ~25% of my time will still be allocated towards education and community engagement work, so I do hope to keep attending the EOC meetings as often as I can. One of my first orders of business is hiring a replacement education coordinator, so if you have leads on great candidates interested in life at the intersection of science and education in Minnesota, please let me know! I'll share the job posting when it's live.

I love being part of this community and am glad to continue working with you all from this different chair!

Best,
Caitlin
