[LTER-education] Call for Abstracts for UFERN Network Meeting

Dear LTER peeps,

Our call for proposals is open for the UFERN Virtual Network Meeting<https://ufern.net/2021-network-meeting/> in March. I am writing to encourage and specially invite you to submit a proposal for the virtual field learning share fair (Share Fair<https://ufern.us10.list-manage.com/track/click?u=a8c1c7a7d7696115d5712e214&id=e411186fdf&e=7ee857155e>) or for the Interdisciplinary Research Lightning Session<https://ufern.us10.list-manage.com/track/click?u=a8c1c7a7d7696115d5712e214&id=3499161143&e=7ee857155e>. Session proposals are meant to be short and easy to submit, and they are due Jan. 22nd. More information is below.

We are also looking for ideas for DEI-related workshops related to undergraduate field education (this is not an official call, but something I”m organizing with ideas from some of my closer colleagues).  We’re thinking loosely about workshops – 1.5 hour slot to dive in to a topic (could be researcher-oriented or professional development kinds of things). A short entering mentoring workshop is almost definitely going to be offered just to give an example. Please let me know if you have ideas of any groups to reach out to!

Hello UFERN Network,

Just a reminder that the call for proposals for the next network are open and will be accepted on a rolling basis until January 22nd, 2021.

The goal of the third annual network meeting is to advance research and practice of undergraduate field education through interdisciplinary collaborations. In addition to the future of UFERN, themes of the meeting will include virtual field learning experiences, affective outcomes from undergraduate field experiences, and defining the field.
