Hi EOC,
As the new school year approaches, VCR and partners are thinking a lot about how we can do E&O in a community where virtual learning failed to reach most students. Education in rural and low-connectivity communities has come up here in there in our broader discussions. I am wondering if some of the sites located in low connectivity communities would be interested in getting together to discuss some topics like what each of us has tried, what has worked (or not) so far, how we've measured reach or impact, efforts to increase student engagement, what ideas we plan to try moving into the new year, etc. I'm hoping that discussing our experience and ideas across hard to reach communities can help each of us leverage strengths and learn from our collective efforts to increase effectiveness for the 2020-2021 school year.
If you'd be interested in joining that conversation, please let me know. If there is enough interest, I'll schedule a call.

Thanks,
Cora

"Science is the process that takes us from confusion to understanding in a manner that's precise, predictive and reliable - a transformation, for those lucky enough to experience it, that is empowering and emotional. We must embark on a cultural shift that places science in its rightful place...as an indispensable part of what makes life worth living." -B. Greene
