[LTER-education] Phenology Education Opportunity-Partners Needed

First of all, please let me know if I have used the correct email address for the current list serve!

Then, let me know if your site might be interested in partnering with Harvard Forest and Northern Arizona University to get students working with cameras called "Pheno Cams" to learn about timing of the growing season of plants locally and/or nationally.
One of our teachers, Kate Bennett, is super enthusiastic about sharing the ways she has used what she calls "an awesome educational tool" to engage her 5th graders in making meaning of images of tree canopies and other plants that Phenocams from Mass. To Hawaii are tracking over time and space.

We feel this has great cross site potential given the size of the existing Phenocam Network and the potential or it to grow.

The image below is taken from the Phenocam education webpages.( https://phenocam.sr.unh.edu/webcam/education/ ) Much of the content was developed by HF schoolyard Teacher, Kate Bennett who lead a workshop in Arizona this MARCH, and Harvard Forest in August  We can pay for some folks from western LTER sites to attend the Az. wksp and for some folks from the east to attend the wksp in Ma.  In August.    Contact me ASAP re: interest in either workshop!
