Here are the two resources I mentioned:
1) Science articles scaled by reading level
https://newsela.com/articles/#/rule/latest

2) Mystery skype geography lessons, potentially adaptable to LTER site connections between classrooms https://www.npr.org/2019/04/29/712173682/teachers-use-mystery-skype-to-give-students-a-window-on-the-world

And here is a brief resource on the reading index we discussed:
https://readable.com/blog/the-flesch-reading-ease-and-flesch-kincaid-grade-level/

Thanks for making the EOC an ever-helpful resource!

Best,
Cora

Hi, folks.

Regarding the agenda item for today’s meeting, here’s the abstract from a paper being presented at the iLTER meeting in Leipzig later this year by Noa Avriel-Avni about the Sense of Place project that I am ‘representing’ US LTER in. Our next step will be to survey potential partners at LTER, iLTER and iLTSER sites to find out about current activities and interest in Sense of Place research and/or programming. We look forward to the input and engagement of people in the LTER ed community and beyond.

Thanks,

Alan
