Hi folks,
This opportunity just crossed by desk this afternoon. A pilot synthesis
program has recently been funded to run what they are calling Mobile
Working Groups (MWG), directly referencing the need to move outside of the
"ivory tower" and into the community.

The focus is on place-based science that focuses geoscience disciplines on
societally relevant problems -- which seems right up your alley for many of
you.
I wanted to share it for two reasons
1) the funding deadline is *March 16*, so some of you might be able to get
in proposals for this opportunity; and
2) Corey seems like a really interesting potential partner for the Network
(also very involved in SACNAS) so perhaps someone we would want to invite
to present at an EOC meeting.
Cheers,
Marty
