Job Description:
The Education Lead (30% time) facilitates, coordinates, and integrates
education and outreach initiatives across the LTER network, consistent with
the philosophy, mission, policies and procedures of the LTER network.
Examples of typical projects include the LTER children’s book series, data
literacy initiatives, citizen science programs, and education-related
content of the LTER network website. This individual works with the 24 LTER
site-based education and outreach coordinators, the Education Executive
Committee, and the Network Communications Office and will be an ex-officio
member of the LTER Education Committee. The Education Lead collaborates
closely with the NCO Communications Officer to maximize opportunities for
education outreach.
