Good morning,
I thought that this recent article reviewing the uptake of calls for inclusivity/representation in (geo)sciences education may be of interest to you. This work was completed by some of the leaders of ADVANCEGeo. There are some interesting insights in the review about how changes have been implemented and measured versus what is known about what is likely to be effective. I recognized threads in this that link to many of our ongoing conversations, and I thought it might be of interest because it suggests some ways to move forward (both in education and measuring the changes/outcomes).

Examining intersectionality and inclusivity in geosciences education research: A synthesis of the literature 2008-2018<https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/10899995.2019.1656522?journalCode=ujge20> (Mattheis et al. 2019) in Journal of Geoscience Education. (Note that this article is a collaboration between faculty in departments of education and sciences.)

Regards,
Cora

"Science is the process that takes us from confusion to understanding in a manner that's precise, predictive and reliable - a transformation, for those lucky enough to experience it, that is empowering and emotional. We must embark on a cultural shift that places science in its rightful place...as an indispensable part of what makes life worth living." -B. Greene
