Dear Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee,

As I mentioned on today's call, I am delighted to announce that Cora Baird
(nee Johnston) and Nameer Baker have volunteered to co-chair the DEI
committee going forward.

Cora has been serving as Executive Board Representative for the Committee
and we will need to replace her in that role. Please consider volunteering
for this position, which has quite modest demands (attend one Executive
Board Meeting each month and report on it to the DEI Committee and
occasionally report DEI activities to the Executive Board). It's a great
way to build your professional network and learn more about how the LTER
Network operates.

Cora and Nameer would also welcome additional participants on a leadership
team (similar to the way that the Information Committee organizes their
work). A second question on the ballot solicits volunteers for this and a
few other committee roles.
