[LTER-diversity] next LTER Diversity meeting: Sept. 8, 3pm ET

Day, Frank P. fday at odu.edu
Wed Aug 17 06:38:04 MDT 2016

Hi Folks,

Wish I could have been at ESA but I was in Scotland on a retirement trip planned long ago. The temperatures in Scotland were a wee bit nicer than those in Florida.

I retired on June 1 and plan to cur back on my professional activities (including a reduction in my LTER research) and spend more time with my family. I will continue my work on diversity issues with focus on the SWS program I developed over the years. I have tremendously enjoyed working with this LTER group and I think significant progress is being made. I would like to stay informed about the groups activities but feel I should step away as an active committee member at this time.

Best regards,

Frank

Subject: [LTER-diversity] scheduling the next LTER Diversity meeting: response requested!

Hi LTER Diversity folks,

Those of us who are here in Florida for ESA had an impromptu meeting this afternoon, to catch up and begin discussing with the NCO some potential work for the coming year.

We'd love to have a committee conference call in the near-term to take advantage of this momentum. Please weigh in with your schedule this week, if you are able: http://doodle.com/poll/e5xs27wywa5gfi3m<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3a%2f%2furldefense.proofpoint.com%2fv2%2furl%3fu%3dhttp-3A__doodle.com_poll_e5xs27wywa5gfi3m%26d%3dCwMFAg%26c%3dWO-RGvefibhHBZq3fL85hQ%26r%3dJIxZ-AFpuKPv2mz1PYfwckARh16Laz2TrneksBiVXcE%26m%3d0qaa__R7TuPw7J7ryGAwJOMAFMfOVyNNFSt3lMxBdEs%26s%3d-2vJj1-BdRc5hU6xI0zXtBsK66kRK16l-LaJzdIGXRc%26e%3d&data=01%7c01%7cfday%40odu.edu%7cc87436cbb72946b5223808d3c62e3e9a%7c48bf86e811a24b8a8cb368d8be2227f3%7c0&sdata=uzqFtqNojd7VM4TMRa5FakauyebEFDMQpZoKuSW5W34%3d> (I tried to make the times Alaska-friendly, Elena!)

One of the things we'll be discussing at the next meeting is committee membership and leadership. If you are on this email list but are no longer interested in being a part of the committee, no harm there (just thanks for what you've contributed) - just let me/us know.

Talk soon!

Clarisse and Teresa and Alan and Jorge and Stacy
