Dear Site Executive Teams and Core Committees,

The LTER Network Communications Committee works with the LTER Network
Office to develop resources and strategy to promote the activities of the
LTER Network. It is open to all Network members with an interest in
communications and especially seeks members with experience in public
engagement and science communications.

In recent discussions with the LTER Executive Board, we found it would be
helpful to widely share some "boilerplate" language to describe the Network
and sites' relationships to it for use on press releases, in presentations,
and in conversation with university administrators and partners. To
understand what would be most helpful, we are convening a short workshop to
gather input on the most important and compelling elements to include.

We invite you to join us at our regularly scheduled committee meeting on
May 13 at 11 am Pacific Time/Noon MT/1 pm CT/2 pm ET.
