We seek a postdoctoral investigator to develop and analyze mathematical
models describing the processes that generate patterns of species diversity
observed at deep-sea hydrothermal vents. We are particularly interested in
how metacommunity processes - including dispersal, disturbance, and
succession - interact to drive patterns of diversity (see position number
18-07-06 at http://www.whoi.edu/jobs).

The position is full time and available for a period of 15 months
initially, but renewable for up to three years depending on performance and
funding availability. Online application forms should be submitted with a
