Subject: [LTER-luq] CTE2 Special Issue...

Hi All,

Happy 2020! I’ve resurrected the CTE2 Special Issue plan that Grizelle and I had worked on, and I have just today drafted a prospectus for Ecosphere. I apologize for my delays in getting this out, but I would still like to follow through with publishing a special issue on the findings from CTE2 (and that may include concomitant drought and Hurricane Maria effects occurring in the CTE plots for some papers). In the drafted prospectus for Ecosphere, I have stated that we would have all papers submitted for the special issue by August 1, 2020. I hope that seems reasonable, but please let me know otherwise.

I have attached the list that Grizelle and I had of folks interested in this and the papers each person was planning. I realize a few years have gone by since originating this and some of you may have published your paper or have other plans for them. We will certainly want to know about those so we can cite them, and it will also require some slight adjustments to the prospectus for Ecosphere. So, could the leads on each of the papers listed write me back to let me know if:
1) you are still interested in writing your paper for the special issue of Ecosphere, and
2) if submission by August 1, 2020 is feasible and a timeline that you can commit to.

Additionally, if there are others that have worked in the CTE plots since the 2nd trimming in 2014 and have response data that they are interested in including in the special issue, please let me and Grizelle know. Like the 2014 Forest Ecology and Management special issue covering CTE1, I think this will be an exciting and impactful product to work on with all of you (and I know Grizelle feels the same).

Thank you, and I wish everyone a great year!

Aaron
