[LTER-luq] Two purpose for writing this message

Hi,
My first intention is to check if this mailing list (lu at lternet.edu) is still working, so please acknowledge!
My second is to make you aware that I have published a few paragraphs at the end of the LUQ Data Catalog page (http://luq.lternet.edu/datacatalog) where the terms, "data set", "data", "data file" and "metadata" are defined.
Your feedback will be very welcome.
