Subject: Passing of Dr. Sandra Brown

Dr. Sandra Brown passed away at her home in Wales on February 13, 2017.

Sandra was a strong Institute collaborator who spent time with us in the early 1980s and was responsible for many Institute publications dealing with the Luquillo Experimental Forest and the global role of tropical forests in the carbon cycle.

She received a Conservation Award from us during the 75th Anniversary celebration, which was the last time she visited us.
