The Joint Fire Science Program (JFSP) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) are recruiting a broad and diverse pool of qualified candidates to apply for the JFSP Program Director position. Vacancy announcements for this position are now open through USAJOBS. The intent is to fill this position as soon as possible so there can be an effective transition with the incumbent Program Director.

The vacancy announcements are managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the host agency for this position. Vacancy announcements are now open to qualified individuals both internal and external to the federal government. The closing date is November 12, 2015. The position is located in Boise, Idaho, and moving expenses are authorized.

The Joint Fire Science Program is an interagency, fire science funding and knowledge exchange program based at the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, Idaho (www.firescience.gov<http://www.firescience.gov>). This position supervises a small staff and works collaboratively with an interagency Governing Board to determine research priorities, fund the highest quality peer-reviewed science, and implement a national knowledge exchange program.
