Possibly the only ranger district with ocean views and coffee-break beach walks.  We have lots of wilderness and wild & scenic rivers, so hike and fish to your heart’s content.  Or for the adventurous, come learn how to surf, stand-up paddle, kite, windsurf, or ocean kayak with the whales!
The Gold Beach and Powers Ranger Districts of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest will soon be advertising to fill a Zoned GS-0470/1315-11 Soil Scientist/Hydrologist.  This position is a permanent full-time position stationed in Gold Beach, OR.  We are recruiting for an individual who will bring leadership skills, passion for natural resources, and a team approach.
