Hi Jess:
I checked this Monday with Division of Grants Administration. The initial
review of your proposal has been completed and the proposal has been passed
along to the branch chief for a second review because of the dollar
amount. I was also told that this process is now in the final stages. I
know of no reason that this process will not be completed before April 15.
Best,
Lou

Hi Lou, Saran,
I am writing to check in on our renewal. We were recommended for funding
on February 21 and we are still inside the 4 weeks that DGA says they need
to process an award.
I am writing because I arranged late last year to have our technical and
other staff paid using institutional funds through April 15. My question
to you is: Do you know of any reason why we would not receive the award
letter before then? I am asking because if it might arrive later then I
should start now to extend their appointments beyond April 15.
Specifically, I have heard rumors that all of the ADs at NSF must meet to
approve any award over $1 million and that the process of setting up this
meeting can sometime lead to delays. Is this the case as far as you know?
Any information you can pass along would be gratefully appreciated.
