Dear LTER Investigators,
NEON is soliciting nominations for their 23 technical working groups with
topics spanning everything from algal taxonomy to soil sensors to community
engagement. If you work in an area that overlaps with NEON's efforts,
participation in the technical working groups offers an opportunity to
influence the science and data that NEON produces as well as a chance to
learn from knowledgeable colleagues. Nominations (self or other) are open
through *September 30*.
*Seeking scientists, engineers and data experts to advise the NEON program*
Interested in ensuring that the National Ecological Observatory Network
(NEON) is a valuable resource for the community? Consider joining a
Technical Working Group (TWG) and help shape NEON science and data. NEON
relies on almost two dozen TWGs to advise the program on topics ranging
from data standards to specific collection methods. The overarching
objective of TWGs is to ensure that the design and operation of the
observatory is based upon sound scientific rationale and good engineering
practice.
NEON is seeking TWG nominees that represent a diversity of expertise,
backgrounds, perspectives, and career stages. If you are interested in
helping them solve important science and technical questions related to
operating and maintaining NEON observatory subsystems, nominate yourself or
someone else today

They are currently accepting nominations through Sept 30, 2020 and will
notify all nominees of whether they have been selected by Oct 31, 2020. For
groups that are needed for longer than a year, nominations will be
requested annually thereafter.

Hi all,
We are currently seeking nominations for advisors to the National
Ecological Observatory Network’s 23 technical working groups

the blurb below with your networks, that would be great. Feel free to
modify as needed. Nominations are due at the end of this month. Thanks,
