Dear LTER Lead PI's and Investigators,
I'm sharing two new NSF funding opportunities that NSF wants to promote.
We'll include them in the upcoming newsletter as well, but I especially
wanted to be sure you were aware of the webinar for biology integration
institutes taking place on *Monday at 2 pm Eastern.*
*Webinar for the new Biology Integration Institutes*
The Biology Integration Institutes (BII) is a new funding opportunity
to strengthen the connections between biological subdisciplines and
encourage a reintegration of biology.
This funding opportunity is a part of BIO’s larger efforts to stimulate
integrative thinking in the biological research community.
To learn more about the Biology Integration Institutes, please join NSF
program officers for a webinar to be held on *Monday, November 18 at 2 PM
EST*. The BII team will address questions that have arisen about the
solicitation. Please use and share the following link to connect:

*Navigating the New Arctic*
This is not just for the Arctic sites, but can include impacts of a
changing Arctic on places outside the Arctic. It can also be used to bring
non-Arctic scientists into Arctic research. It requires linking across
natural, built, and social systems, as you’ll see in the solicitation (link
below).
