The International LTER Committee of the NSF LTER Network would like to call
your attention to the call for abstracts for the *Second Open Science
Meeting of the ILTER  Network

The meeting will be held in *Leipzig, Germany 2-6 September, 2019*. The
deadline for abstract submission is *19 February 2019*. Attendance at the
meeting is limited, so get your abstracts in early if you plan to go.



The US ILTER Committee is seeking funding to support some travel to the
meeting by LTER scientists. If they are successful, funds will be focused
on investigators with strong potential to develop international
collaborations. If you attended the 2016 Open Science Meeting in South
Africa and it resulted in new collaborations, syntheses, or other products,
the committee would especially like your input for 1) helping to make the
case for funding and 2) preparing US researchers to get the most out of the
2019 meeting. Please send an email briefly recounting your experience and
any outcomes to Marty (downs at nceas.ucsb.edu) or Mark Watkins (
Mark.Watkins at asu.edu), secretary of the US ILTER Committee.
