[LTER-im] TODAY: February VWC - IM manual

Good morning IM's,

Happy St. Valentine's day and I hope your team or country prevailed in a recent major sporting event (condolences if not). We're looking forward to seeing you at the Virtual Water Cooler today at 3pm ET/12pm Pacific, where we will be discussing the new "LTER IM Manual" website that Marty Downs has created. We'll get a tour of that today and discuss some ideas on how IMs can (and should!) contribute. We'd love to hear your feedback, and would especially value some thoughts from newer IMs who need to know how to get things done at their sites.

Our monthly Virtual Water Cooler is coming soon, so please mark your calendars for this coming Monday, February 14 at 3pm ET/12pm Pacific.


At our meeting this month we'll be discussing a new "LTER IM Manual" website that Marty Downs has implemented for the benefit of IMC. Marty and Tim Whiteaker will introduce the new website, then discuss its purpose and scope, how it can be a resource for new and experienced IMs alike, and how you can contribute to its development. We'll save some time for discussion about this website and other important resources for IMC. We'd especially like to hear from newer IMs during the discussion regarding what resources you need or have had difficulty finding.
