Hi Sven and the rest of LTER IM's--
I thought we would have the ability to limit IM edits to the users
associated with their own site. But it turns out it's not working that way,
so I had to remove user editing from the IM permissions. I'm working on a
solution, but not there yet.
Depending on how much you need to change, there will be two options in the
short term.
1) send me a csv file with the information below (I'll get you a specific
format for that as soon as I can), or
2) have the user log in to make their own changes.
They login at lternet/wp-admin (using their LTER username and password),
and will only have access to edit their own profile. That information will
update to the LDAP.
Info we will need:
- complete name
- surname
- userid (usually first initial-lastname)
- given name
- email
- site (3 letter code(s)) (multiple sites allowed)
- role (Principal Investigator, Co-principal Investigator, Investigator,
Information Manager Education Manager, Other Professional, Postdoc,
Graduate Student, Undergraduate, Other Staff, Inactive) (multiple roles
allowed)
- do-not-display (for inactive people who we want to keep associated
with the site or network but do not want to display on the directory)
- ORCID:
Sorry for the hold up on this -- it's not entirely in my hands,
Thanks,
Marty
