Also wanted to mention that the Guidelines for LTER Information Management Systems was approved by the LTER Executive Board in December, after a couple of clarifications in the document.  This document is posted on both the IM website and the LTER website.

Our February VWC will be continued planning for the 2018 ASM and associated one-day IMC meeting.  A small group of participants began discussion on this topic in December and their notes are posted on the IMC website (http://im.lternet.edu/vwc-dec2017).  The sorts of things they discussed were workflows, vocabularies, taxonomies, standardization, etc.  We would like to continue this brainstorming on topics relevant to our meeting and our community.
