Looks like I'm locked out. I've been on a site review. Bummer.

HI all,
Just a quick reminder that we’ll need your travel support application today to get all ducks in a row for ESIP participation. We had a great planning zoom yesterday and there are interesting sessions shaping up.
Thanks
The EDI team

Dear all,
The Environmental Data Initiative (EDI) has some travel funds available to support your travel to the Summer Meeting of the Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP):
The meeting will be held July 24-28, 2017in Bloomington, IN http://www.esipfed.org/meetings/upcoming-meetings/esip-summer-meeting-2017
Early registration through June 30, 2017. (When registering remember that LTER is a member of ESIP)
This year’s theme is: Strengthening Ties Between Observations and User Communities.
Proposals for

• Breakout Session—presentation-style session with multiple speakers sharing lessons learned, a new tool or new initiative.

• Panel Session—panel-style discussion with one moderator and a group of experts who represent different perspectives on a common topic.

• Workshop Session—classroom-style session to teach attendees; should be hands-on with limited use of slides.

• Working Sessions—roundtable-style session where participants work together to solve a specific problem.

• Business Meetings—dedicated planning time for Collaboration Areas.
may be submitted until April 10th, 2017.
To apply for funding please download the EDI travel application (http://environmentaldatainitiative.org/travel), follow instructions there and send to Kristin Vanderbilt (krvander at fiu.edu<mailto:krvander at fiu.edu>) or Corinna Gries (cgries at wisc.edu<mailto:cgries at wisc.edu>). Please remember to outline how you will participate in the ESIP meeting (poster, oral presentation, session organizer, invited session participant, etc.). Acceptable budget items are early registration fee, transportation (will be booked through UW), meals, and hotel. Please also include whether you were able to obtain additional funds from a different source.
Deadline to apply: March 31st, 2017
Confirmation of funding: April 5th, 2017
The EDI team will collectively make funding decisions. Individual funding rates will depend on demand vs. availability and funding is not guaranteed, but EDI is looking for strong participation of environmental data managers representing the ‘long tail’ of environmental data management.

Thanks
The EDI Team
