Hi folks,
I know that the timeline on this is tight (June 7), but it's so in line
with what LTER needs that I had to make sure you had all seen it.

Over the past decade or so, NSF has placed more emphasis on funding
education research than on funding STEM implementation projects. But
frequently, the people doing STEM education are not the ones with the
capacity to do the research. So NSF has finally launched a program to build
STEM education research capacity.

*Solicitation:* https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2019/nsf19565/nsf19565.htm
*FAQs*: https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2019/nsf19066/nsf19066.jsp

They are keen to fund capacity development at 2-year colleges and minority
serving institutions, so consider the opportunities for yourself, if you
hold a faculty position, or for colleagues who you work with at other
institutions, but who might want to develop an LTER-related project.

 Cheers, Marty
