Erik graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder's School of Education with a PhD in Education research. He is the founder and president of the Western Institute for Education Evaluation and Consulting (link<https://western-eval.com/>). His professional interests include undergraduate research and internship programs, program evaluation, moral reasoning, distributive justice, psychological measurement, learning theory, and adolescent development.
