Hi Folks --
I could use some help. I'm working on some graphic materials for ESA and
the science council meeting. Also working on updating the LTERnet image
gallery site <http://gallery.lternet.edu/>, which will feed a new, more
interactive and image-rich map of the network for the web site.

I think that most of the images currently on the site are from the early
days of digital cameras (or even before that) and I know that you all have
more and better photos in your own files than we have now at the NCO.

*Access:* I've put the current gallery photos into a set of shared google
photo albums. (See per-site links below.) Right now, only people who have
the link can access, view and upload images. If you wouldn't mind adding a
few more current images, I'd really appreciate it.  If you "join" the
album, you'll be able to find it again without hunting down the link.

*Licensing and Credit:* As with the current image gallery, these will need
to be publicly accessible. So please only upload images that we have
permission to use under a creative commons license
<http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/> and be sure to
attach *photo
credit information*. Once you've uploaded an image, click on it and look
for an *"i"* button at the top right. Clicking on it opens a description
window on the right where you can add information about where, when, who
and what's happening in the image along with info about how the
photographer should be credited.

*What's needed*: I am especially in need of high resolution images, so
please upload at the highest image quality you have. I don't need a whole
boatload of images, but would love to have a few current ad compelling
images for each site. The big landscape shots are lovely, of course, but I
also need close-in shots of researchers at work, experiments, iconic
species or systems.
