"Science is the process that takes us from confusion to understanding in a manner that's precise, predictive and reliable - a transformation, for those lucky enough to experience it, that is empowering and emotional. We must embark on a cultural shift that places science in its rightful place...as an indispensable part of what makes life worth living." -B. Greene

Subject: [LTER-diversity] Agenda and survey for DEI Committee meeting on Tues, Jan 19

Hello everyone,

We hope this email finds you well and having enjoyed a happy holiday and a happier New Year! We wanted to pass along the agenda we have put together for our upcoming DEI committee meeting next Tuesday, as well as a link to a survey that we would greatly appreciate you filling out before we meet. We are hoping to use this session to figure out which working groups have been able to achieve critical mass and which ones need some help - there is no shame in being in the latter position, we just want to get a handle on everyone's status. To that end, please do read through the linked SWOT framework below if you are not familiar with it, as we plan on using it to assess each working group's progress.

Survey to complete before meeting: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScfp2-AU1_qXiSLJlfC-BRVFg8H_aeLoriDDU35RHnM_RgdVw/viewform?usp=sf_link
