Hi, LTER Communication team,

Hope this message finds you well!

Let's schedule our spring meeting. Please weigh in on the Doodle poll: http://doodle.com/poll/uex4awq2h8f8pisu (times should be listed in your own time zone)

The minutes from the last meeting are here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MQ-jN6PgfzhzV-1HNsOygT7D4AkbSQobpovxORPDX30/edit.

Our agenda will include several items that are timely in the lead-up to the May Science Council meeting:

* Draft set of Communication site rep position 'guidelines' similar to the Edu & IM guidelines, for circulation at SC, as guidance for new sites

o Note: these are positioned as recommendations, not requirements

o Will be drafted prior to our next meeting by Clarisse, Marty, and anyone else who'd like to contribute. Marty, could you please circulate the Education and IM docs?

* A list of topics for monthly 'community of practice' discussions led in 2017-2018 by the NCO for interested LTER participants

o Note: My sense is that focal audiences for these will be determined by the topic. So, some will be more general-use - e.g. How to make the most of Twitter for science - and some will be more useful for site-level communication reps and leaders - e.g. Resources and tips for upgrading an LTER site website

* Strategy ideas for format, audience, and publication of Peter Groffman's LTER "stories" from the network (which he gathered from sites with the intention of putting them in in a journal like Ecosphere)

Looking forward to hearing your ideas on these and other topics. Please email additions!

Thanks!
Clarisse
