[LTER-commcom] next LTER Communications Committee meeting - and a training opportunity

Dear LTER Communication Committee,

It's time to plan our next meeting!

The LTER Network Communication Office is planning an online training this winter on Science Communication Fundamentals<https://nco.lternet.edu/science-communications-fundamentals/>. Info on that is at the bottom of this email.  The course begins January 8, so if you are interested, or know someone at your site who is, register!

Our meeting agenda will include (and additions are welcome):

1.       Shaping committee priorities for 2017

a.       Engaging others within LTER to form a community of practice for communication

b.      Proposals to Science Council 2017

c.       What are the key roles/criteria for site communicators? (not something mandated - just, what works at existing sites?)

2.       Updates from Marty Downs at the NCO.

3.       2016 committee annual report.
