[LTER-All-lter] Tragic news

Friends,

Henry Gholz, a dear friend and long time champion of the LTER network died
in a climbing accident over the weekend. Henry managed the LTER program at
the National Science Foundation for over 10 years and was a great friend
and mentor to many LTER scientists.

We are deeply saddened by this grievous loss to our community and to
ecology as a whole and our thoughts are with his family at this time of
great sadness.
