[LTER-All-lter] Sad news

Dear Colleagues,

It is with great sorrow that I write to tell you Art Schwarzschild passed
away last night of an apparent heart attack.

For over a decade, Art was a superb education/outreach coordinator and site
director for the VCR LTER and Anheuser-Busch Coastal Research Center.  He
served the LTER Network on the Education Coordinating Committee for many
years.

Art made many contributions and many friends.  He will be greatly missed.
